The MLB Playoffs

October is so exciting. You know why? Post season baseball.

For a couple of years now I've been watching the postseason on TBS, they cover the divisional series, and FOX, which covers the championship series and the World Series. So here's the question...

Who's going to the post season? Currently as I'm writing this blog post the Phillies have won the NL East title, the Twins have won the AL Central, and Texas has won the AL West. It's not a suprise that these teams made it to the post season. Their offense and pitching is just overpowering for other teams.

That leaves the AL East, NL Central, NL West, and both AL and NL wildcards. It's a very close call in the AL East, but I think the Rays might hold on and win it, and the Yankees will take the wild card.  The Reds have a comfortable 6 game lead in the NL Central so there's a good chance that they'll clinch that division. It's also a close one in the National League West. I think that the Giants may pull it off, so we'll have to see how it plays off in the next week or so.

My favorite team, the Redsox, didn't make it.. well, because of injuries. That's my only excuse. ;)

My thoughts: New Twitter

I've always been a big fan of Twitter's original homepage, because it's easy to maneuver people's profiles and tweets.

But, since the new Twitter page came out, I'm not really a big fan of it. Sure, it's a little bit faster but the originality of things always appeals to me, and in this case I prefer the old Twitter homepage. Since about a couple of months ago I've been using Twitter desktop clients less and less for some reason. But if I do use a Twitter Client I would prefer Tweetdeck on Windows and Echofon on my iPod.

I've been using Echofon since their days of Twitterfon and keep enjoying it. I don't think anything else really compares to that client. What Twitter desktop clients do you guys use? Do you like the new Twitter homepage? Leave a comment below.

The Tropics: Matthew and Lisa

I've been monitoring Tropical Depression Matthew and Tropical Storm Lisa for some time.

Matthew is weakening because it landed in Mexico.. but the question is, where is it going to go? The weather models aren't agreeing with each other on the track of Matthew so far. Some of the models are actually taking Matthew to Florida while one is taking it close to Brownsville, Texas. If Matthew spends any time in the Gulf of Mexico, there's a chance it could strengthen because of the warm waters.

Let's talk about Lisa.

It weakened from a Hurricane to a tropical storm and so far it poses no threat to land. The latest advisory (11:00 AM EST) states that there's no coastal watches or warnings.

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I last blogged on this website.. I can remember posting movie reviews and cool sites that I visited about 2 years ago. I decided to switch the wordpress theme from the default to this one, I think it’s pretty cool.

So yeah, school starts in about a week so I have to get prepared for that, which means less internet and IRC time. Speaking of IRC, I took a short hiatus but I’m back on IRC. The networks that I’m on are Geekshed, iPocalypse, SummitIRC, Infinity-IRC, and GateNet-IRC. If you need to know any info about these networks feel free to comment below.
